A New Environment

King’s offers a dedicated and recently modernised Sixth Form for our girls (comprising 140 girls), they have access to and a spacious and comfortable Common Room with excellent facilities, including a kitchen in which to make tea and toast, and a shower room. This provides the room to develop and experience increased independence afforded only to Sixth Formers, whilst retaining a range of benefits by being a part of the wider school.

We hold close links to Warwick School, this allows our students to collaborate in academics, music, sports, drama, art and a host of extra-curricular clubs and activities.

Whether joining King’s High as new students or continuing their education here, our Sixth Form girls are joining a unique and supportive community, providing a top class environment in which to achieve their goals.

The support they receive whilst choosing and then studying their chosen subjects will enable our girls to apply for the Higher Education courses that suit their future ambitions. The A' Level courses they choose are taught at the highest level, with dedicated subject specialist teachers.

It's important each and every girl not only strives academically, but has an enjoyable experience whist here, with the opportunity to get involved in a broad range of activity, which enables our girls to build their life skills, therefore becoming as fully rounded and as confident as possible, both in and outside the classroom. From fun events for charity, lively assemblies, social occasions, to trips from Bath to Beijing, the co-curricular programme is frequently updated.

Plays and concerts draw on Sixth Form talent and expertise for a variety of on and off-stage roles at both King’s High’s Performance Studio in the Creative Arts Centre and the Bridge House Theatre at Warwick School.

An extensive ‘Supra-curricular’ programme includes Sixth Form led societies.

Alongside the A’Level provision  King's Highs’ Baccalaureate is a new, unique qualification, which is accredited by EduQual. This recognises and develops skills which are highly sought after by universities and future employers, including communication to leadership.

The Sixth Form has a dedicated Head of Careers, who manages the UCAS process for each girl, step by step. He has an excellent track record of guiding girls to their ultimate goals. Our students also have regular exposure to careers events and work experience completes the process.

A carefully thought out General Studies course the Extended Project Qualification and Critical Thinking provide additional opportunity for our girls to extend and enhance their thinking and experiences.
