Our Curriculum

Our curriculum at King’s High has been carefully designed, and is regularly reviewed, in order to provide ample opportunities for all our pupils to learn, to succeed and to develop the key skills they will need to thrive at university and beyond in the modern and ever changing world of employment. Girls will experience the widest range of subjects throughout Key Stage 3 to gain a rounded education and to enable them to make informed option choices for GCSE level.

At Key Stage 4, girls will study a mixture of core and option subjects, which they will choose after careful consideration and advice, to maximise their success and keep doors open into higher education and career paths in the future.

Girls then progress into the Sixth Form where they study AS and A2 levels, being able to choose freely from an impressively wide range of subjects.  Girls also follow a General Studies course in addition to the option of studying Critical Thinking AS Level or carrying out an Extended Project. Our Deputy Head (Academic) is responsible for the curriculum and each subject is led by a Head of Department.
