The School awards a number of Sixth Form Academic Scholarships, Performance Scholarships and an All Rounder Scholarship.

1. Academic Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded annually to students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and potential. The Ruth Court Mathematics Scholarship is included in this category of awards.

2. Performance Scholarships

The school also awards a number of Performance Scholarships every year to students who demonstrate exceptional ability in the following more practical subjects:
Art, Drama, Design Technology, Music and Physical Education.

3. All-Rounder Scholarship

This is a standalone scholarship that cannot be held in conjunction with any other scholarship.

All King's High students in Year 11, not currently holding a school scholarship, and external candidates in the final year of their GCSE course, and any external applicants, who have registered to join the Sixth Form at King’s, are eligible to sit the Scholarship Examination. In order to have a realistic chance of success in this examination, students should already have a demonstrable track record of high academic achievement.
