Sixth Form Scholarships and Performance Awards (Year 12)

Scholarships

These are awarded on a competitive basis through examination and interview of internal and external candidates up to the value of 20% of fees. All scholarships may be enhanced, after means testing, with a bursary of up to 100% of fees, if the funds are available. Peformance Awards 

These are available to students who demonstrate exceptional practical ability in the following subjects:

  • Art and Design
  • Drama
  • Design Technology
  • Music
  • Physical Education

Students will be expected to show outstanding ability and/or skill, as well as evidence of commitment to the particular subject, demonstrated through their activities at their present school, in order to be considered for an award. Students may apply for a maximum of two performance awards.
 
Awards are made on the basis of:
Exceptional ability
Demonstrable commitment to the subject in Years 7-11
Performance, exhibition of portfolio, recital
Recommendation to the Head Master by the current Headmaster/mistress/teacher (external candidates)  or by Head of Department (internal candidates).
