1970s Decade Day

1970s Decade Day – Saturday 5 July 2008

110 Old Girls and Former Staff who were here during the 1970s came back to school on Saturday 5 July for the school’s first ever Decade Day, and to remember and celebrate school life from that era. We welcomed visitors from Australia, France and Germany as well as from across the UK.

Old friends and colleagues met up in the Sixth Form Centre for welcome drinks, before touring the school and reviewing archive displays from the 1970s.

Visitors enjoyed a seventies-themed lunch, before Headmistress Mrs Surber delivered a speech on life at King’s High today.

Lost friends were rediscovered, memories were shared and everyone enjoyed a day full of laughter and nostalgia.

Thank you to everyone who attended and who made the event such a joyous occasion.

We have produced a Souvenir Booklet of the day. If you would like to receive a copy, please contact Chris Musselwhite at c.musselwhite@kingshighwarwick.co.uk
