King's In The Community
All girls work in the local community and raise money for worthwhile causes. Fundraising has been an integral part of school life for many years and we always consider girls' suggestions about causes we could support.
For example, the school has a strong relationship with the local elderly club, the Iris Lees Day Club. Year 7 girls provide entertainment at Christmas and host an annual lunch for their elderly neighbours in the Summer. Girls in Years 8 and 9 maintain their garden, while Year 10 girls help out at events, in the charity shop and sometimes act as bingo callers.
Sixth form girls work as classroom assistants in four local primary schools and also help out with younger children in swimming lessons.
The school is currently supporting one main charity, CAMFED, (The Campaign for Female Education in
In a massive effort, we aim to raise more than ever before in support of this worthwhile cause. Girls are busy organising fundraising events to achieve this.
We also regularly support a number of local charities including children at the Women's Refuge in Leamington Spa, Operation Christmas Child and the Leamington Mission.
