Click here Laying The Foundations: Years 7, 8 and 9 All girls study the same range of subjects, whatever their ability. In Year 7 they start French and in Year 8 can choose German or Spanish as their second modern language. In addition, all girls study Latin in Years 8 and 9. The only streaming according to ability is in Years 8 and 9 for Mathematics and Languages.
Preparing For GCSE's: Years 10 and 11 All girls study 9 GCSEs: English literature, English language, Mathematics, two in Science, at least one modern language and three optional subjects. The careers team advises girls on their GCSE choices and the implications these have for future study and careers. In addition, all girls study PE, ICT and Religious Education and have a planned programme for Personal Social and Health Education.
