Choosing a University and Career

Our careers department provides each girl with guidance and support, enabling her to develop her skills and make well-informed decisions. Our careers and education guidance programme incorporates a variety of activities:

  • A careers evening takes place at the beginning of each Autumn term, providing parents and girls with information about the careers and higher education guidance we offer
  • From Years 7 –13 we encourage girls to develop and nurture their interests and skills. In Years 9-13 we talk to each girl so that she can discuss her aspirations for the future with a member of the careers team, who advises her accordingly.
  • Careers skills workshops: at the beginning of the Autumn term Year 13 students attend an Independent Schools Careers Organisation workshop where they practise interview skills and techniques that will prove invaluable in university and job interviews.
  • Careers presentations: throughout the year an interesting and varied range of speakers talk to girls about potential career options and university opportunities.
