University Successes 2018

Following the girls’ exceptional A Level results, the girls’ university successes are equally impressive!

Nearly 90% of girls will be attending their first-choice university

Over 75% of girls will be attending Russell Group universities

Girls are also taking up places at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, the University of East London to study Acting, and the University of Falmouth to study Film.

Once again, girls will be reading a wide-range of different courses - almost 50 in total - including:

Law, International Relations, Philosophy, Geography, Physiotherapy, Management, Chemistry, Psychology, Spanish, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, English Literature, History, and Archaeology.

7 girls have also been accepted for Medicine, and 1 for Veterinary Science.

As is usual for Upper Sixth leavers, roughly 50% are studying arts, languages, and humanities, with around 50% studying STEM subjects.

Richard Nicholson, Head Master, commented: ‘Year on year, our girls leave King’s to attend the top universities both in the UK and abroad, to study a wide variety of subjects. Once again, in looking for the very best candidates, top universities have welcomed our Upper Sixth leavers with open arms. This is testament to the determination and hard work of the girls, the depth and breadth of interests nurtured during their time at King's, and the individual guidance and support they receive. We wish all of them well for the future and look forward to welcoming them back to King’s as members of our active alumnae association.’
