We are so pleased to offer many opportunities at King’s for our students to discover and develop their sporting interests, both in curricular and co-curricular activities.
We are also thrilled to share that King’s High has been ranked in the top 2% of sporting schools in the country in the School Sport Magazine national standings for 2026.
We provide a broad range of sporting disciplines, catering to those who wish to compete at the highest levels as well as those who enjoy sport recreationally. Most importantly, sport at King’s High is for all.
Our aim is to inspire pupils to engage meaningfully with physical activity, not only as a cornerstone of wellbeing and mental health, but also as a fundamental part of their school experience and life beyond King’s.
Competitive and Recreational Opportunities
Our teams regularly compete at County, Regional, and National levels, with some pupils achieving representative honours in their chosen sports, including National and International competitions. Every pupil has the opportunity to develop her talents fully, fostering confidence, enthusiasm, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport.
As one of the country’s leading independent girls’ sporting schools, we offer:
- Extensive competitive training
- Inter-form competitions
- Fitness and wellbeing programs
Students can choose to join competitive teams or participate purely for enjoyment, coached by our expert staff, many of whom are accomplished sports performers.
Our students consistently achieve outstanding results, reflecting the strength of our sports provision and the dedication of our athletes. Equally, we pride ourselves on high participation in non-competitive sports, from recreational gymnastics to our on-site fitness suite and annual inter-form competitions.
