Tatler Schools Guide 2027

Tatler Schools Guide 2027

The coveted Tatler Schools Guide 2027 is hot off the press. Read what they had to say about our Community of Changemakers…

Head Dr Burley describes his fiefdom as a ‘community of changemakers’, and it is indeed a forward-thinking place, intent on preparing its pupils for the age of artificial intelligence. Take the Sixth Form’s recent curriculum extension through Science for Change, a new ‘future-ready course’ that incorporates innovation, entrepreneurship and an AI component.

On top of that, Burley is ‘enormously proud’ of his recently launched Super Saturday programme, an inclusive sports initiative that enables a range of activities for girls [who want to be active, try sports and develop skills in a relaxed environment]. This project also offers places to students from local state schools – including those in the [Warwick Schools Foundation] newly established multi-academy trust – while long-standing links with Warwick School (for boys) mean that King’s High girls receive some of the benefits of a [best of both worlds ethos.] Clearly, it’s an effective formula. 58 per cent of GCSEs were graded 9-8, 48 per cent of A Levels were A*-A, and 88 per cent of leavers went on to their first-choice universities – including top drama and music institutions, Oxbridge and McGill in Canada. (One student was even accepted to a course on horology.)

But equally valued are the prestigious degree apprenticeships won with everyone from Dyson to Deloitte; and last year saw a record number take up places at Jaguar Land Rover, Unilever and HSBC. New arrivals here include a second school dog, Moose. And there are plans to establish international schools in the near future, as well as to install a fresh 3G Astroturf for hockey and open a cricket academy.
