Each year, King’s High warmly welcomes overseas students into our award-winning Sixth Form.
It’s an exciting opportunity to engage fully in school life, access a challenging and stimulating curriculum, and prepare effectively for A Levels and future pathways.
We recognise that a new country and school system can be a major transition. Our admissions process is carefully designed to support overseas students from the outset, taking into account previous academic records, entrance assessments, and, where appropriate, virtual interviews. We look for students who demonstrate strong academic potential, resilience, curiosity, and a readiness to contribute to our school community.
On arrival, overseas students are quickly welcomed into both the Sixth Form and our close-knit boarding environment. Small class sizes and personalised academic support allow students to settle confidently in our community of changemakers.
Where needed, English language support is provided to help students communicate confidently in both written and spoken English. At the same time, students are encouraged to bring their own cultural experiences and perspectives into the classroom, enhancing learning for everyone.
Outside the classroom, overseas students are encouraged to take part in the full range of King’s High activities. Academic societies, leadership opportunities, sports, music, drama, and community projects provide rich ways to get involved and make new connections within our vibrant Sixth Form community.
Joining Sixth Form at King’s gives overseas students the time and space to build confidence, develop independence, and form lasting friendships while achieving academic excellence and embracing all that life at King’s High has to offer.
