Students spread some Joy and Sparkle with a new House challenge

Our students are sprinkling some joy and sparkle throughout the months of January and February.

A new House Challenge – Joy and Sparkle - has launched. Pupils from our four Houses – Dench, Hepburn, Rowling, Pankhurst – are undertaking a series of activities they have devised under four categories:  Kindness, Collaboration, Creativity and Courage.

Ideas abound, and include making lunch for their families, working at home, or offering to do the washing up; writing to people who are isolated; coming up with creative challenges, such as family drawing and reading  sessions, collaborating to film dance routines with a friend, or reaching out to each other within the school day, by trying new co-curricular clubs, or doing the weekly quiz together.

Pupils are invited to send in their films and powerpoints.  Natassa’s powerpoint included her writing a chatty, newsy letter to an old  King’s High former pupil,  making cute cat videos to cheer people up, and collecting material on walks for her Art Photography project, which she and her friend Hannah shared together through photographs.
