Year 10 musicians train in Opera singing
Rising young Opera star, Juliet Wallace (King’s High Old Girl) gave Year 10 singers their own private lesson in singing Opera. Juliet, who trains and performs across Europe, was accompanied by her mother, Mrs Wallace, on piano. Alex Laing, Artistic Director (Music) comments: ‘It was wonderful to have Juliet train with our musicians. Her inspiration is clear and infectious.’
'We enjoyed a wide variety of piano performances in our latest Musical Horizons Concert, which featured our piano players, with pieces ranging from a Bach Fugue to Haydn sonatas, through to more contemporary works and student compositions. Thanks and congratulations to all those who took part. We look forward now to Matilda's forthcoming public Lunchtime Recital at St Mary's, Warwick on 7 June, which promises to offer a feast of Mozart.'
