Foundation Service of Thanksgiving
The annual Warwick Schools Foundation Service of Thanksgiving, held on Friday 29 September at St Mary's Church, Warwick, was a wondrous occasion. Head Master, Dr Burley, was accompanied by Year 8 students from King's High, along with representatives from Warwick Prep, Warwick Junior School, Warwick School and The Kingsley School, together with their respective Heads and our Foundation Principal, Mr Richard Nicholson.
Before the Service, guests were invited to our world-class Music School where our talented Catering team hosted a delicious lunch. The Service itself was an incredible opportunity for our community to reflect and celebrate all that makes us so special and unique on a glorious September day.
After a welcome by Mr James Soper, Foundation Chaplain, our King's High Director of Music, Mr Adam Albrighton, conducted 'My soul, there is a country', followed by a series of prayers and hymns, whilst our Foundation Senior Choir performed 'Rejoice in the Lord'. The retiring collection was in aid of St Mary's Campaign 2023 to safeguard the future of this magnificent church, founded in 1123 by the Earl of Warwick, Roger de Newburgh.
