Boarding provision at Warwick Schools Foundation
Boarders at Warwick Schools Foundation schools (King’s High School and Warwick School) can choose to board in one of several different ways.
Full boarding
Our most popular option, full boarding means living at school seven nights a week with all meals included, all term. Fees are published on our fees pages.
Weekly boarding
Weekly boarders choose to board five nights a week and then leave school at weekends – ideal for pupils whose family home is too far away to commute on a daily basis. Fees are published on our fees pages.
Flexi-boarding packages
We recognise that every family’s circumstances are different and so we are pleased to introduce flexi-boarding, where families choose the number of nights they wish their son or daughter to board each week. This could be one, two or three nights per week, and is required to be booked as a termly package. Flexi-boarders are an integral part of our boarding community and will have the same room every week. However, depending on demand, we may need to store belongings on nights when they are not in residence, if another flexi-boarder needs the space for those nights. Costs of flexi-boarding, in addition to tuition fees, including VAT, are:
· One night per week, all term: £1,228.50
· Two nights per week, all term: £2,457
· Three nights per week, all term: £3,685.50
Flexi-boarding offers a convenient and supportive solution for busy families and provides our students with the many benefits of the boarding experience, even on an occasional basis. Whether it’s to ease logistics during a busy week, support academic commitments, or offer a taste of boarding life before committing to a longer-term arrangement, our new flexi option is designed with flexibility and wellbeing in mind.
"When I was lucky enough to be offered flexible boarding for my teenage daughter, it was a lifesaver for a busy working and travelling mother like me. Way House was a home away from home, and Rosie had no trouble at all settling in - with a lovely room, great (and healthy) meals, and so much care and attention given to her and all the girls’ needs.
"What I had not expected were the additional benefits: the structure it brought to Rosie’s routine during such a critical year, a taste of university life, the development of friendship-building skills, exposure to different cultures, and no anxiety about missing buses because the school is so conveniently close.
"For me, I was able to travel worry-free, knowing my daughter was in a nurturing and caring environment. Calling home to hear stories of games nights and Chinese New Year celebrations made it a little easier to be away.
"I would recommend it to everyone - part of Rosie’s success in her A Levels is certainly due to the environment created for her at Way House."

Occasional boarding
We also offer occasional boarding – ad hoc stays of up to eight nights per term if booked as single nights, or 15 nights in a term if booked in weekly blocks (so three individual weeks across the term, or three instances of week-long stays). This is ideal for families who may need to be away from home and want somewhere for their son or daughter or stay. It can also be used, for example, in the event of late sports fixtures or concerts, where a pupil lives some way away from school. All occasional boarding is subject to availability. Occasional boarding is £105 per night, including VAT.
Terms of flexi-boarding
Flexi-boarding packages will, like weekly and full boarding packages, require at least a term’s notice of any changes to return to being a day pupil. Increasing boarding from flexi to weekly or full will be based upon whether there is sufficient space on the boarding house. New acceptance forms must be signed by parents wishing their child to move to a different boarding status.
