This Summer Term, 47 students in Year 9 at King's High have embarked on a groundbreaking journey with our new Summer Internship programme. Instead of continuing with optional GCSE subjects, these students immersed themselves in a three-week group project, designed to mirror real-world scenarios and challenges.

These authentic Internship Projects span a wide range of areas:

• Technology & Environment
• Social Responsibility
• Persuasive Writing & Law
• Printed MFL Primary Resources Content Creator
• Coding a Maths Advent Calendar
• Planning a Health & Wellness Fair
• Business Startup

Each project promises to foster independence and professionalism in a professional setting outside the traditional classroom environment.

This initiative not only enhances essential skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management but also encourages creativity and curiosity. Students will have the chance to explore new passions, gaining hands-on experience that sets them apart and prepares them for future opportunities.

Their end of project presentations were superb, where our Interns showcased their achievements and newly honed skills. Well done to all our Year 9 students who took part in our inaugural Internship Programme!
