It was a Fiesta of Flamenco at King's High this week! Originating from the Andalusian region of Spain, flamenco is more than just a dance; it's a profound expression of passion and resilience, and our students embraced the culture of 'cante, toque y baile' under the expert tuition of Señorita Perez.

Señorita Perez has been dancing since she was just four years old and is a wonderfully talented flamenco dancer, who guided our Year 8 and Year 9 students through energetic practice sessions before the grand finale. It was a superb opportunity which really transported us to the heart of Spanish culture.

Next month, we are very much looking forward to watching a flamenco show by José Franco and Imma Carmona, who are renowned for their expertise, accompanied by Francisco Martín on the guitar, with singing by Eduardo Lopez. The show will encompass a variety of flamenco styles, captivating choreography, and live music, providing a truly immersive experience.
