Catering and Food
Food is incredibly important to us all at King's High, and it is a particular strength of our school. Led by our award-winning Head Chef, Christophe Charpentier, and Front of House and Hospitality Manager, Kate Mousakitis, our Catering Team is outstanding, delivering the highest quality food each day to our community. We are very proud of our approach to our menus, which underpins our commitment to sustainability and sourcing fresh, seasonal, and locally-sourced foods where possible.
Our student Food Council meets regularly with Christophe and his team to inform developments and menus. Our vegetable and herb garden is maintained by our dedicated Gardening Club and students are heavily involved in producing honey and eggs from our King's High chickens and beehives.
In 2023 the quality of our food and our vision for King's High was recognised nationally when we were named finalists in the 2022 Independent School of the Year Healthy Eating Award. Our approach is simple: great tasting food prepared on site, delivered with sustainability and the environment in mind, and served with a smile from our dedicated Catering Team.
