Bursaries
At King’s High School, we understand that everything we have today is thanks to the generations that have gone before – we are already standing on the shoulders of those who believed in the transformational power of education. Contributions from alumni, parents, charitable trusts and other donors currently enable us to give 130 children access to a Warwick Foundation education each year.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to widening access to exceptional education for children from all backgrounds—especially those who will thrive at our schools but are unable to afford the fees. Our current student body includes looked-after children, refugees, and others facing significant challenges, and we strive to help every individual in our diverse community to reach their full potential.
Each year, demand for financial support far exceeds our resources, leaving many talented children without the opportunities they deserve. Our vision is a future where access to education is based on merit, not means. Our first step towards making this vision reality is to create 100 new means-tested bursaries over the next decade, covering full fees and associated costs for children aged 7 and up. Funded through philanthropic gifts, these bursaries will support generations of gifted students—now and always.
“It’s like a golden ticket. Very few and far between get this opportunity which helps to open doors for them. So many people I know would have also thrived in the opportunities that were made possible for me by the bursary scheme.”
Leah Townsend, King’s High School (2012-19)
