Since opening our doors in 1879, King’s High has been at the forefront of girls' education.
We are proud to put each girl's aspirations and well-being at the heart of all we do, preparing them for a life of fulfilment and to be a force for good in the world. Our aim is for every girl to ‘aspire, achieve, enjoy’, and we are thrilled that now, in our world-class, state-of-the-art school, opened in September 2019, our girls have facilities which match their skills and ambition.
As with all other schools at the moment, our buildings are closed for the vast majority of our pupils and staff, with the children of critical workers in our school community being looked after each day and all other pupils being taught remotely.
Over the past weeks, we have created a virtual, online King’s High, with a structured day for the girls replicating the normal timetable. All subjects are being taught, either through live webinars, recorded lessons or off-line activities, to ensure there is variety throughout the day. Daily assemblies, sport, co-curricular activities, enrichment opportunities, and community events complete a full school experience. Our aims are that the girls should have continuity and stability at such a complex time; that they should continue to engage with their friends and their teachers remotely; and that their learning should continue as smoothly as possible.
In order to share the many activities and stories from our own school community and the wider Warwick Foundation, we have created a new website: www.foundationathome.co.uk. Please do visit it for regular updates about our virtual school lives; I hope you will be inspired by what you read.
If you would like to know more about joining this wonderful community, please contact the Head of Admissions, Mrs Gina Worrall: firstname.lastname@example.org and visit the Admissions pages of the website.
I hope you enjoy reading about our school, and get a glimpse into what makes the community of King’s High so special.
We look forward to welcoming you.
